Alin Aioanei

In the day to day life he is a programmer (and a good one) but in his free time he attends weird Facebook Events (e.g. World Toe Wrestling Championship).

He graduated the Computer Science Highschool, Faculty of Computer Science and now he is enrolled at the Distributed Systems Masters.

Great guy, hard worker, procrastinator, nice sense of humor.

Ana is a science enthusiast but she wouldn’t like to do this for a living.

She is yet another Computer Science Highschool graduate but she turned to Biochemistry after highschool and graduated the Faculty of Biology, following a Masters in Molecular Genetics afterwards. Apparently Biochem was not her true calling so now she is enrolled at the Distributed Systems Masters as well as at the Faculty of Biology as a PhD student.

Hard worker, good jokes (don’t believe if someone tells you otherwise), loves field trips and sleep.

What we do? – Project Description

A multi-device application suggesting various remedies (medications, physical/psychological exercises, serious games, useful Web resources,…) for overcoming a specific (set of) phobia(s) affecting a user or a group of users: family, coworkers, “friends” from a social network, etc. To accomplish this goal, a general knowledge base like DBpedia and/or Wikidata, plus conceptualizations such as schema.org’s health/medical types will be used. Also, take into consideration the context – e.g., claustrophobia is triggered when the user(s) is/are approaching a close place like an elevator. Additional information could be provided by WikiDoc. See also a list of health-related APIs. Bonus: a proper use of DrugBank data.
